Sept.29th

So I went to Vancouver last weekend and had way to much fun. Friday Hunter, Tristain, and I walked all over down by English Bay, Granville island, and sitting by the water. True friends rule. After a long night of hanging hard we went back to Hunters to retire for the night. Saturday me and Hunter went and hung out with my grand parents which is always nice and my Grampa never is short of halarious. Saturday night was Dylan's B-day and there was a big posse of us at the cambi and a solid count of edge men, always a plus. Had a really good night and seen alot of friends. The next morning we all went to Bon's for breakfast wich is always good, 4 dollars for breakfast and refillable coffee how can you go wrong? they even have steak and lobster. On Monday I woke up and took the train down town alone, bought a huge coffee and put on youth of today and decided to see as much of the city as I could in about 2 hours, I walked by the ocean for quite awhile and just kept looking up at the big buildings, wierd how I feel so much more comfortable with big buildings all around but trapped in Kelowna, Way she goes I guess. After the treck down town I went and met Daina Lightfoot who had given me a ride down and was giving me a ride back, we had a pretty eventful ride home, almost running out of gas in the middle of no where while the gps thingy took us for a ride, thanks again Daina.

This whole week I did nothing, no school, and only had a short training shift for my new job on Tuesday. But Friday was my first real shift at Gotchas night club as a porter. At first I was super uncomfortable with working in a night club and felt kinda dodgy about it. After Friday I knew it was dodgy but am so juiced on it. For some reason im so happy when Im there, and all I do is walk around and pick up empty things, and dance non stop. Friday was pretty nutty in there while I get the feel for the job then Saturday was really busy but one of the wildest nights I've had in a really long time, seen some familiar faces and never bin so rattled in my life. This whole night club jam is diffiently keeping the edge strong, watching drunk people do ridiculous things makes my nights unreal. Funny how somthing I never would have expected is shinning some light on Kelowna and making me anough money I will be able to leave when I need to. Thanks again Googs for the job.

On Tuesday I start my second quarter of school and am excited I feel like I've wasted my last week. This quarter I have 3 drawing classes, 1 3d modeling and an introduction to the industrie class, pretty juiced on it. Really missin foose ball in this break. Also cant wait to move into my new house with Damein and Alexis tomorrow should be some solid hang outs.

Sept 19th pursuit of happiness

This last weeks bin a rollercoaster, with the end of the quarter and
syked for the break has bin awesome but also bin pretty down this
week. Seems some things have changed and I don't really know why.
Majour bummer. Bin really not feeling Kelowna and am so happy I'm on
my way to Vancouver right now.

Yesterday I filmed for my classes "the walking dead". 9 hours of
filming and our second day of doing so. Felt awesome to be done. My
main jobs were hanging out with a cat and staring at a moniter, but
some how that passes for assistant director, not bad.

I'm super juiced for my next quarter and got a even better schedule
now. Earlyer days on Friday so hopefuly I can make some more Vancouver
shows. I can't wait to be back there for a bit.

I'll do a full report of this Vancouver trip when I get home. Hopefuly
I can come home with a refreshed outlook on Kelowna.

September 11th

Climbed knox mountain tonight with Jordy and Julianna was pretty cool. I need to start doing more things like this. I also gotta get back on track.


I also just figured out how to post to here from my phone which means hopefully more posts and pictures.

Sept 9th Kamloops

the last week has been pretty crazy, next week is the end of quarter and I have no exams just final projects all worth 20% of my final grade, so I've bin doing alot of that. Still have alot to go and am a master procrastinator.

On Saturday Julianna and I wen to Kamloops to see Stars, was an awesome trip. We drove there and then walked around Kamloops for awhile trying to find food and went into a way to expensive sushi place and settled on Boston pizza. After that we went to see Stars, I had never heard this band until the way down there, or at least bin aware i was listening to them. The show was at the college and was in benefit for free tuition in Canada, cool idea, realistically doesn't seem possible. We found Jordy and Daina and Jordy was partying hella hard and made me laugh a bunch, at one point she decided she wanted to be on my shoulders, I'm surprised how long she stayed up there... The band was really cool, It's bin a long time since I've been to a rock show like that, alot different then punk shows that's for sure. The band played good and the one dude had a crazy mini piano looking thing he blew into and also played trumpet for a bit. After the show we left back to Kelowna right away, good night, how did I get so lucky?

Bin kinda stressed with school but life has bin pretty not bad, the steady updates from tour making me laugh are always a plus. Sorry to hear about the pillow case Peter. I got a new house lined up for October I'm pretty syked on, also pretty juiced to film this zombie movie next weekend and Chris Bigger coming up to be a part.

I got 2 weeks off school at the end of the month, let me know whats up and if anything sweet is going on, wouldn't mind leaving Kelowna for bit maybe?

Sept 3 Seattle

This week was pretty mellow, got assigned alot of projects, kind of seeing the end of the quarter, almost one down 7 to go! The foose ball table at school broke and I was crushed, we tried to fix it with some tape but it's still not the same. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. This weekend was really good though.Friday I started my night out by hanging out with Chris J wich was a good time, bin awhile since I'd seen that dude, then I met up with Emma Rea and went to some party with her and her sister, was kinda akward and I didn't really know anyone there but after a adventure to safeway so Emma could buy cabbage and meeting some dude we kept calling everyone "Baby Nuts" was a pretty good night. Saturday the Vernon dudes came to town to hang out before Dan heads back to Vancouver, we went to scandia and Tommy won 400 tickets on Deal or No Deal, then we went to Boston Pizza and hung out and drank root beer, good times. Sunday Ryan, Jose and I went to Vancouver, picked Hunter up and headed to Seattle.

This was the third weekend in a row I've hung out with Hunter even though we live 4 hours apart, not bad. After picking him up we headed to America. With a quick stop at Taco Bell and a run in with somthing called the big box we made it to Seattle. We arrived at the IFC house and I was like a little kid on christmas so excited to see my friends and then we realized there was no one home and all the lights were off. Luckly Kayla was there and called Jake and we went to Philly Mikes house where he was having a kegger. Seeing my friends was unreal, we partyed and hung out pretty hard till late in the night. We then headed back to the house and I slept with Kira in Chang's bed, she stole the blanket alot and kept jumping on and off the bed. The next day I woke up and drove Ryan and Jose to Bumbershoot and got caught in some traffic then went out for breakfast and had deep fried frenchtoast with peanut butter, not bad. We then just hung out hard at the IFC house and talked about the days of tour and other dope things. So good seeing them boys, real friends rule.

Those guys are heading out on tour on thursday and be sure to check them out, there new shits banging and Floppy Matt is shreddin vocals nowa days. Also they have a new demo that will melt your face and steal your soul, get into it.

Good weekend, got home at 2 am on Monday, kind of a rough drive home and we took it pretty easy. Good talks with Jose ruled. Hard to come back to Kelowna after having such a good time in Seattle. Some things here are pretty good though. Almost have my own room, and have a house locked down for next month. Schools getting pretty busy so thats burning alot of time as well.
