May 29th, Vanguard, Voices, Horizons, Crusades

So I missed my court date it was on the 28th, I hate when I do things like that, but at least Vanguard was in town and my good friend Hunter from Vancouver came up and hung out, which is always nice. The show that night was wicked, Crusades had an awesome set and played a bunch of new songs that were very Ceremony sounding, had bin almost a year since I've seen this band play and it was kewl to see them again. Horizons set was really good, Grant played drums which is always a treat and I'm excited to watch this band get better and better. Voices were kewl to and syked to have seen them come out from Calgary. Next was Vanguard, I couldn't believe kids in Kelowna knew there lyrics and it was really kewl to see kids dancing and singing along, so happy kids were into them because they are awesome dudes and an awesome band. After the show we went to Tim's and then to Daisy's super mellow hang outs and an early night.

April 29th 2008 - May 17th 2008

After Boise it was Ellensburg. Ellensburg was wild. It was at this dudes house which was pretty decent sized and there was quite a few people there for such a small place. We were fed hot dogs and chicken and the show was pretty good. After the show it was a party. People were drinking, scammin on girls and table dancing, was a wild party. After partying for a bit we were eager to get back to Seattle so we set out with Terry driving. We all fell asleep and woke up to the van sideways going down the highway and snow everywhere, after some quick coaching on how to drive through the snow we managed to make it home safe without any other moments of FEAR!. It was kinda nice to be back in Seattle and see some friends but it wasn't my home and was eager to head out on the road again. Though I did meet some really kewl people and had some good times and ate 2 dollar sandwiches from a Vietnamese place every day. I wont forget the day me and Floppy sat on the roof eating sandwiches. The Tacoma show was pretty good, Carriers (Floppy Matt's new band) played and it was really kewl. The next show after that was a house show in Seattle which was one of my favourite shows of tour, it seemed like I knew alot of people which is a good feeling in a town your not from. After that we went to Ellensburg which was another house show. I knew i liked a place when we rolled up and they were listening to AFI. The Ellensburg show was awesome, so many kids moshing and singing along and having a good time. I decided to sleep in the van that night. After Kennewick it was Ellensburg again and it was about the same, other then the failed attempt at a kick ball game and some more people. The next night in Portland was awesome, for some reason I really like that city. The show was really good, played on a big stage and kids there just love to mosh. After the show we went to Jess and Punishers's house where we got taco bell and MacDonalds. Then a crew from both Gravemaker and Ill Intent decided to drive back to Seattle and me and Chris shared a bed at Jess's. The next day we hung out in Portland, went to a huge bookstore and Jessica hooked up pizza and coffee at her work, it ruled. After that we headed back to Seattle for a couple days off there. This time the down time in Seattle was nice, I explored Seattle alot and hung out with different people. The next show was in Bellingham which was pretty good but me Chris and Jon left early and went to Vancouver with Chris Bigger. Thanks again man. We spent that night at Jesse's and had a wicked sleep, it was really nice to be back in Canada. The next day we headed to Victoria and I rode with ACG, on the ferry I took the ice cream challenge and filled a cup of ice cream hella full and felt gross for the rest of the day. I'd never really hung out in Victoria before but it's super nice and people there seemed super friendly. The show that night was really good and in a super kewl youth center type building that had basketball courts and what not. That night we went down town Victoria and got pizza, Bro Bra got a ticket for open booze and we experienced the rowdy homeless people there. The next day we headed back to Vancouver and I spent most the day with my Grandparents. I already went over the show in a previous post. That was my first tour experience and it was unreal and thanks again to everyone who made it so.

Home is Where the Heart is

I just got back to Kelowna from Revelstoke, it was pretty nice going back there kickin it with the family and having alot of my stuff in one place. Last night me and my mom and Ken went out camping which was awesome, did some fishing, ate hella hot dogs and sat around in the sun. I know have a gnarly farmers tan, not bummed. Also my Auntie, Uncle and Cousin came out. Always nice to see family you haven't seen in awhile.

I gotta finish the tour recap. After the worst sleep of tour in that dorm room we woke up and headed to Wade's buddy who was also staying the night at the dorm rooms house. We kicked it there hard, watched and Audrie the giant special and another on the history of wrestling. The dudes apartment was really nice and just outside Sacramento. The weed plants were a kewl touch as well as mountains of empty beers. Sacramento was a really good show in a storage locker and we played with Wednesday Night Heroes from Edmonton, which was really kewl. This was the only night I really missed home but was fine the next day. That night we stayed at Wade's dudes house which ruled the next day people got tattooed and those who weren't walked around Sacramento. It was a Sunday and everything was closed, no one was on the streets and it took as an hour to find a place to eat, but we had hella good milkshakes and burgers which was kewl. From there we headed to Reno. Reno was kewl, the show was at a skate park and we played with some heavier bands which was kewl. After the show Ill Intent and Masterpiece went and got food and set out to explore Reno. Reno is the wanna be Vegas, the strip was tiny and was missing all the kewl parts of Vegas, but it was a good time none the less. This quarter machine mesmerized our group for so long and then some random drunk dude came with ten dollars in quarters and blew them at our expense pretty much. Chang also won 50 bucks which was unreal because he was just drunk pushing buttons and I don't think he really knew what he was doing. That night we decided to keep driving to Boise Idaho instead of sleeping. We got to Boise hella around 8am and kicked it outside the venue until this dude named Sean came and took as around to some record store where I was ever so tempted to drop 25 bucks on a Life Of Agony - River Runs Red LP but decided not to. The show in Boise was really weird. The venue was like an art gallery and had a huge stage, we had our own backstage room and were fed hella well, which ruled. This was our last night with Pressure Point and Masterpiece. Masterpiece played a song I had bin bugging them to play and it was a awesome show, So many skins. After the show we had a hard good by to our new friends as they set back to San Diego. After the show we went to a party with Gravemaker and Pressure Point but left farely quick to some girls house up a mountain where we spent the night.

Syked for my new house, spending tomorow in court for a speeding ticket from a year ago and Vangaurd

I'm Giving Up I Don't Give a Fuck Because Nothings The Same

It's weird the things you build up in your head as meaning so much to you and then once your face to face with those things you realize they don't mean anything. It's kinda a shame but life goes on.

I've spent the couple days in Kelowna mostly just kickin it at my dads house, bin pretty uneventful. Had a conversation with someone I never thought I would again, realized how happy I am I'm done high school and re assisted some things that I held to close for to long. I've also realized nothing is the same in Kelowna as it was, people have changed, I've changed and I know it's for the better.

Last night was Sierra's grad and I was her date. The night started off with me getting dressed at my dad's, taking some pictures with my step brother (it was his actual grad) and then going to meet my date. From there I hung out with Jackie and headed to some way to nice house on the lake to take pictures. From there we headed to the sails to take more pictures and do the walk. At about this point I realized I knew no one in this grad class other then a few kids I met that day and I knew from when I went to that school but other then that seemed like these kids weren't at KSS last year. So the awkwardness began. After the walk I went to dinner with a bunch of people I barely knew and had a bomb clubhouse. After that we went back to the dance part of the grad that was a little less awkward. After dancing for a bit I went and got Jodie's hella nice (syke!) ford tempo and went to pick up the ladies. Then the party began, we drove to a bush party where it seemed like all the kids from the rest of the evenings events disappeared and there were now new kids I didn't know but now they were all drunk. After kicking it at this party for awhile and randomly seeing some old friends who were about as outta place as I felt, I ran into a friend who was as ready to leave as I was, it was nice to step away from the dwindling fire and talk to her for a minute. After Jordy and Sierra were partied out I drove 5 drunk kids home and crashed on Sierra's couch.

Today made up for last night. My mom drove up from Revelstoke to come get me and I gotta spend the day with her shopping and driving back to Revelstoke. So now I'm "home" for a couple days and it's bin kinda nice so far. Also picked up GTA IV today so far its pretty tight, bit different feel then San Andreas but good none the less.

I also found a house in Kelowna which is a load off my back as well, thanks Nat. After spending about a week in Kelowna I've realized nothings the same as it was before, everyone seems to have things to do to keep them busy and I just don't right now, I guess I will when I go back and am in school and what not.

Also something that I've had my hopes up for way to long I've realized is not what I truly want. I don't know if I've changed all that much since I left but alot of the things I use to love about Kelowna sure seem to have, definitely a majour bumm out.

May 20th, Gravemaker, ACG, Horizens, Saints.

Waking up in a bed every day is so nice. So this morning was day 2 of being in Kelowna, and being in a house where i can eat what ever and sleep in a bed has bin a pretty good jam so far. I kept it pretty mellow today just got a haircut and kicked it around my Dad's house.

The show tonight was pretty good, it was in a kewl new venue out in east Kelowna that was pretty big. I was blown away by how many kids came out and how many of those kids id never seen, It was awesome to see. Saints set was pretty good and there were some kids singing along which was kewl, Horizons first show was really good as well, nice to see old friends playing music again. ACGs set was heavy and they covered strife which was pretty kewl to, kids were moshing. Tonight was the last time i seen Gravemaker play on this spree of the last couple weeks seeing them almost every night and it was really kewl. Still blown away by how many kids were dancing and how good Gravemaker is. It was also super nice to see some Vernon friends I hadn't seen in awhile and more Kelowna friends I hadn't seen yet, and of course Sierra.

After the show ACG, Gravemaker, Horizons sierra and I went to tim's and had coffee and donuts, something I hadn't done in awhile, was super nice to chill with everyone. Another hard good bye as Chris and the Gravemaker dudes went there separate ways. Its nice to know ill be seeing them again pretty soon.

Back to tour, we spent 2 nights at wes's house with all 3 bands, Gravemaker, Masterpiece and Ill Intent, it ruled, his house was super nice and he treated us really good. One day we had a fierce wiffle ball game that quickly got outta control, But if I recall my team won. The show in new port was really funny, it was at a bar and there was barely any kids there other then the bands. The first band's vocalist dented the mic cage and the sound dude told him he would have to pay 15 dollars for another one and it was really funny, luckily chad came to the rescue. alot of these shows were some of the best, just the 3 bands moshing and partying for each other, being goofs and having way to much fun.

For some reason i rode with Masterpiece alot in Cali and it ruled, they had hella snacks in there van and are all awesome dudes. Santa Cruz was unreal, it was the town you see in the movies when they wanta portray California, on the beach, volleyball, really nice town, wicked hot, it was awesome. We went to a record store and spent way to much money but got some good scores. The show there was our first show with pressure point and like 6 bands played. The venue was in the back of a coffee shop but was super big and a ton of kids came out for one of the bands record releases, also the wrath played and a band that sounded like AFI (which rules) called wolves and thieves i think. Pressure point covered hard times by the mags and kids went nuts. After the show and much frustration of trying to figure out what was happening me, chad, wade and mike went to a dorm room for the night. The dorm was on a old army base and the kids there were all drunk and playing beer pong and the rooms were small and smelt like beer. After having a quick shower and 2 drunk dudes walking into the bathroom with me standing there naked we went to sleep, about 3:30am the fire alarm starts going off. The dude were staying with starts yelling every time the alarm goes and chad tried to hit it off the wall with a golf club, supposedly the alarm goes off all the time when kids blaze in there rooms, so much for the better sleep wade...

May 19th

Being back in Kelowna has bin kind of a weird experience so far, a mix of old memories and remembering all the reasons i left. So far Ive bin able to see a bunch of people i haven't seen in a while and spend some time with my dad which has bin cool. I'm a little worried about how ill feel about it in 2 years when I'm able to leave again. Still there are a couple people I'm excited to see that i haven't yet seen since Ive bin back.

Back to tour. After Vegas we decided to go to LA a day early, no idea why considering we all had a lot of fun in Vegas. Once we got to LA we just kicked it in New Hall and ended up sleeping in the van outside a Denny's. After about an hour of sleeping i woke up with hella food poising and was up for the rest of the night dealing with that. The next night was a show with Blacklisted in New Hall and Chris came to hang out which was really nice since it had bin a couple of months since id seen him. after the show we partied and i was hella tired and slept in the van for a good while before going to Chris's friends house. the next day i woke up feeling great and Kyla, Chris and I took off early in the morning and hit the beach. I ended up wearing a pair of Kyla's Shorts and looked wicked kewl. That night was our first night with Masterpiece and the show was in a storage garage which was pretty kewl and we had a lot of fun hanging with those dudes.

After the show Ill Intent, Masterpiece and Chris and Kyla went to the airport to meet Gravemaker arriving from there central America tour. It was really nice to see those guys. We got food then went to Wes's house where we slept.

Last night

So this is going to be kinda weird jumping between stories from tour and current events. Last night was Ill Intent, Grave Maker, ACG, Vanguard and Sling shot in Vancouver. It was super nice to see some Vancouver friends i hadn't seen in awhile. After realizing that was my last show with Ill Intent and last time i may see some friends for quite awhile I had to say good bye. After living in a van with 5 guys on and off for a month it wasn't easy and will miss the hell out of all them. Thanks alot to everyone who let me sleep on their floor, bed, couch and made tour unreal, and especially thanks for bringing me along Ill Intent truly times and I wont forget. After the show we went to the foundation and it was hard to think tour had come to a end so soon. we then hung around there and some how ended up with a way to drunk Italian girl in our hands and know idea where she lived, met up with her roomate and left her with them and headed to Jesse purdys.

Who woulda known?

So Im kinda home from what was easily the best month i can remember. I decided to make a blog after Chad hyping it and I wanta be able to remember times gone by and so I can show some stuff I do in school.
This last month Ive spent with the dudes in Ill Intent's van traveling the west coast and BC. So the trip started with Bro Bra, Peter and Terry driving up from Seattle to pick me up in Vancouver and Immediately going to Seattle. As soon as we got in the door of there house I was thrown into dress clothes and takin to the cheese cake factory to celebrate Calvin Changs birthday. Next night when and seen blacklisted in Tacoma and kicked it.
From Tacoma we left for our first show in Portland where Ill Intent played with Blacklisted and had a good show. Then we stayed at Brittney's apartment and had way to much fun being way to excited to be on tour. After Portland it was Twin Falls which was the worst show of tour, 3 kids plus the bands and it didnt start to hella late but we got pizza so that ruled, then we headed to Vegas. Driving through the desert in the middle of the night was wild, tons of animals running out infront of us and seeing HUGE blood splatters all over the road blew my mind. Once we got to Vegas it was party time, we walked around the strip being loud and dancing any chance we got. after much searching for a buffet me and calvin snuck into treasure island's pool and were surrounded by hotties, it ruled. after partying all day in Vegas, Jasmine and 2 of her friends came and met us and showed us further around, but never stopping the party. The free porn cards were hella kewl to. We ended up at show girls at one point which wasn't very kewl and Jake didn't like me in his booth and kicked me out, not my fault one of the girls just had a baby... After that we went to freemont street where we partied to queen on the ceiling TV and then spent the night at jasmine's which was one of the best places we stayed. Then we headed to LA.
